There is a phrase that goes “a woman wears the pants in the relationship.” That's exactly how our love story began.

In 2019, we met working together at H&R Block, and it didn’t take me long to realize that this tall good lookin man in the meetings was quite funny and I wanted to get to know him. I boldly sent him a message and after some back in forth banter, we decided to go to lunch. The next day, Danny left for a weeklong trip to Iceland and I left for Annual Training, but we continued to get to get know each other long distance. A few months later (and a tiny bit of pushing), Danny finally asked me to be his Girlfriend. The rest... is history.

It has taken us five years which included a deployment, COVID, raising a teenage boy, and a few job changes to get to this moment.

It was less than a year into our relationship the entire world would shut down and we decided that we would move in together.

Then we took our first vacation to Waupaca. I knew two things after this trip:

1- I was head over heels for this man

2- I was going to get married in beautiful Waupaca, WI.

Soon after we returned, I unexpectedly was called up to deploy and Danny would become a Father figure. We grew so much as a family and in our relationship through these life experiences.

Fast forward a few years to the 2024 Dupuis Summer Trip to Waupaca. After asking Caden and Mr. D (my dad) for permission to propose, Danny knew this would be the perfect moment to pop the question that everyone was waiting for. Little did I know, when I was planning a boat cruise around the chain for the family, I was setting up a picture perfect proposal scene. It is a memory I will cherish forever.
